There's more to me than what you see on social media and I'd like to share a more intimate view into my life as a touring musician, a writer, and photographer.

Hello friends and fans!
I have decided to launch a Substack in efforts to express myself in ways that simply seem impossible to do on social media platforms and to connect with you on a deeper and more intimate level. There is so much more to Alex Teller than what you see on social media. I am simply sick of trying to squeeze myself into the confines of the algorithm and feel compelled to share a deeper and more honest lens into my life and my story.
Substack feels like a safe space where folks like you can intentionally participate in my journey and develop a deeper connection to me and my art rather than me screaming into the void of social media and hoping that we connect amidst the random screen scrolling. This is a space where I will be choosing to express myself in a more vulnerable, honest, and authentic way, and a space where you also can intentionally choose to connect and engage more intimately. My intention and goal is to develop real community and authentic connection with you, my fans and friends.
This Substack will in many ways serve as a newsletter and a blog, but most importantly as a space to build community, and connect with you!
I intend to share monthly content, and updates on my journey as a touring musician in addition to weekly blog posts with more personal and intimate content. Some content will be free for anyone to checkout, while other content will be for paid subscribers only. Here is a list of some things you can expect to see here on my Substack!

I would like to eventually share videos of me playing music, but don’t currently feel like I can commit to that until I settle down and have a dedicated practice/recording space. I currently live nomadically in my Toyota Tacoma pickup, Gill (named after Gillian Welch), and simply don’t have a consistent and comfortable space to record videos. This is a goal of mine and hope to do video content in the future!
